Blog Update
I decided to add a tab on the Blog where I talk a little bit about the bands that influenced me as a musician. I mention how it was that I discovered the band, some personal thoughts about their albums, and other stuff like that. Make sure to check it out if you're interested in finding out how Tainted Equilibrium came to be.

Chronicles of an Up-and-Coming Band Ch. 6
I uploaded the instrumental demos to the Soundcloud Channel after all. I guess that will give the songs more exposure, but I'm worried that once I add the vocals, the songs won't be as fresh anymore. Well, it's out of my hands now. So far, the plays are few and far between, so I guess it's still possible to get more people to follow the band
Speaking of Soundcloud, I'd like to thank any of you who are following the band and have found this blog in the links section of the Channel. I hope you like the material, and know that there are already a few ideas for a second album :)
The odd thing is, many of the followers are Death-Metal bands, which I think is quite ironic given that I'm not really a fan of that style. Musically, I respect those types of bands because they write awesome songs with cool and inventive arrangements, but the vocals kill it for me (no pun intended). I would love to be a fan of bands like Death, Opeth, and many others like them, but . . . I just can't get over those growls and screams. My apologies if anyone is offended.
As far as progress in writing the lyrics goes, I have yet to write a single word. Honestly, I have not been able to sit down and think of melodies for the vocals yet, but I should be able to come up with lyrics in the next few weeks.
Patience is a virtue. Remember that.

All The Demos Have Been Recorded!
Finally.
After many months of writing, rearranging, getting rid of parts, adding new parts, and a thousand other things, all the songs have been recorded in Demo form. This means that I can finally dedicate myself completely to writing lyrics for them and finding someone to sing them.
Make sure to check them out in the band's Soundcloud Channel.

Chronicles of an Up-and-Coming Band Ch. 4
I have not uploaded the remaining two songs for a couple of reasons.
The first one is that, even though I had a whole week off from work, I had other things to do besides recording. As much as I would like to just be able to dedicate myself to the band, there are other things going on in my life that take up quite a bit of my time.
Second, I had some problems with the recording software. It just flat out refused to work whenever I tried to upload it. Even if I did manage to do so, it would crash whenever I tried to access the VSTi Plugins. It was quite a nightmare because I thought I would not be able to do much of anything anymore. Lucky for me, I got it to work and recorded the tracks for one the the two songs. I plan on recording the second one soon, and the solos will be added later. Hopefully, and if the software doesn't go all crazy again, I should have both tracks uploaded by this coming wednesday.
Once that is taken care of, I'll begin writing the lyrics. I have not been able to find anyone to record them, so I fear I may have to do them myself. I'll only do that as a last resort so that more people can hear the songs, and if someone is interested at that point, I'll record the vocals again.

Chronicles of an Up-and-Coming Band Ch. 3
As was announced a couple days ago, only two more songs need to be recorded in demo form so that the search for a singer is taken to the next step.
In addition to that, I already have some more ideas for the second album. I know, I'm not even done with the first one yet, but these ideas are too good to pass them up. I really can't say that much, other than I already have about 2 or 3 songs that are already about 90% completed, and that it will be another concept record.
Darkness Within (the title of the first album, BTW) will deal with the inner struggle of a character as some choices are presented. I really don't want to reveal more details about the concept yet, but I think it's pretty interesting. All of us have a Dark part to our inner selves that always threatens to overcome our moral and ethical boundaries. Some times, it succeeds, and I think that's the scary part about it.
As far as details for the next record go, all I can say is that it will also deal with a Horror theme. I'm very excited about the ideas I have for that album; most of them are somewhat different from the songs I wrote for the first one, but I think it will still have the essence of what this band is about.
Also, I wanted to say that as soon as the album is finalized, I will upload the Guitar Tabs to the Blog. I'd do it now, but I don't really want to have some other guy take credit for the songs I wrote! : )

Harbinger of Everlasting Chaos Preview Uploaded!
A new song preview was uploaded yesterday to various places on the web. Click on the Links and Media Tab to select your favorite place to check out new music.
Only two more updates remain, and, after those are done, the songs will be re-recorded with a real drummer and hopefully a singer.

New song update!
Another song preview was recorded and uploaded today! Check out the Links and Media tab to listen to it. This brings the total to 7, only 3 more to go before all the instrumental demos are completed. Hopefully the final mastered songs are recorded before the end of the year.
